Sai Valley World School became Champion team for winning the Championship trophy in the Inter School football match amongst all the schools in Rourkela. SVWS won the final match by beating St. Paul's school by a good margin of 3 - 0 goals played at Ispat Stadium, Sector-6 Rourkela. The first match was played against Gregorious School as quarter final where SVWS won by 7-0 goals. The semifinal match was played against Hamirpur High School where SVWS won by 3- 2 goals, In the finals they are winners.

Mr. Ganeswar Patnaik (Director SVWS) along with other staff members was present there to encourage the players. The grand victory was also because of the meticulous training and attention of sports teachers P.E.T. Mr. P.K Rout, Coach Mr. Manoranjan Biswal & Mr. MD Majid. The victory doubled the celebration of Diwali festival.
